Haircut!

I've been wanting to do it for awhile, and I finally did--I chopped my hair off! I originally intended to cut it after the wedding, but lost my nerve. Then after a few months of being generally sick of it (I've been growing it for almost 3 years!) I bucked up and went in. Since several of you (Becky, Brooke :) ) have been begging me for pictures, here they are! (I have to say, taking self portraits of all angles of your head isn't the easiest thing...)

Happy New Year!

Now that the USB ports are working again on our computer (in an attempt to clean up our computer and delete "unneeded" items, I accidentally screwed something up temporarily), I thought I'd include a link to some of our latest pictures (click on the title of this post to view). Included are a few of our little (rented) house, the downtown Edina area, and downtown Minneapolis--including pictures from "The Nutcracker" display on the top floor of Macy's downtown department store. It was really cool! Granted, it would've been better if we had known the Nutcracker story, but I was nevertheless impressed by all of the details put into the 16 "scenes." We went there the weekend before Christmas, while my dad was visiting. Jeremiah and I rarely ever go into town, so it was a nice treck out of our regular routine. Macy's has apparently been putting on these scenes every year for the last 30 or 40 years--each year with a different theme, and it all leads up to Santa himself, where you can get pictures taken with him and buy cookies at the bakery (sadly, we skipped photos with Santa). :)

We spent last weekend in Appleton with Jeremiah's mom, which was nice. I really wish we had more vacation time so that we could actually stick around when we go to visit--between trying to get to Appleton and to the UP, we have no real time to spend in either place and I find myself completely wiped by each trip (36 hours at our destination, 12 in the car... worth it?) Ugh... we're still on our quest to find jobs in the Fox Valley, so hopefully that will work out within the next year or so. Here's to hoping for 2008! :)
